Drive Monitoring

The Drive Monitoring module monitors the health of your hard disks and SSDs. You are notified as soon as a temperature you set is exceeded or S.M.A.R.T. reports problems.

Virtual machines

On virtual machines, the virtual drives appear as tiles of their own. S.M.A.R.T. values and temperature are only available on the host system.

Possible causes of problems

High temperatures can indicate a problem with ventilation and can lead to a shutdown or failure of a drive. In this case, check that the air vents are clear (no dust or obstructions) and that the room temperature is within the normal range.
